When Sam, a gender-fluid high schooler, starts crushing on Simon, the sweet guy from their art class, life gets complicated. Sam's gay best friend offers plenty of advice, while Sam tries to keep their cool and hide their true identity. A shared art project about Frankenstein and flirty conversations lead to growing connection. But when a social media accident threatens to reveal everything, Sam has to figure out how to be honest - with Simon and themselves - without losing a chance at love.
